FIGURE presents an intimate performance of words and music for Easter, centred around Couperin’s sublime Leçons de Ténèbres. Radio 3’s Donald Macleod will read a selection of poetry and prose, and Frederick Waxman is joined by gambist Liam Byrne and sopranos Rachel Redmond and Claire Ward in this reflective exploration of loss and renewal.
“this group is unequivocally impressive, its sound invigorating, its commitment absolute” — The Guardian
